TFC helps PNC Bank Celebrate!

JULY 01 - Trappe Fire and EMS attended the 1 year anniversary celebration at PNC Bank located in the Providence Court Shopping Center at 1820 E. Ridge Pike on Saturday June 21st.

Members of the Fire & EMS crews handed out information to adults and fun packs to the children. Tours of Ladder 77 and Medic 324 were also given.

Honey I'm Home -- Sewage Truck meets Tree on Bechtel Road

JUNE 19 - Engine 77 was called to the scene of Truck vs. Tree on Bechtel Road in Upper Providence Township.

The Truck and Aqua Waste Management Tanker was hauling approx. 2200 gallon of residential waster (or honey as its called in their trade) and went off the road in the 200 block of Bechtel Road, striking a large pine tree. Stormy Weather Makes for Five (5) Incidents

JUNE 10 - Station 77 was staffed for "Priority Traffic" during the storm on Tuesday night and responded to five (5) incidents in only two (2) hours, they were:

Trees Down @ East 7th and College Ave - Trappe
Wires Arching @ 9 West 7th Ave - Trappe

Yet Another Ducky Day for Trappe's Finest

JUNE 07 - For the second time within one month, Station 77 was dispatched to The Courts at Upper Providence for a mother duck whose ducklings had fallen down the storm drain. Already experienced in the rescue of these slippery little critters, Ladder 77's crew knew immediately how to deal with them, but the little guys weren't going to be as easy as the last time. Tree & Wires Cause Rush Hour Traffic Headache

MAY 21 - Station 77 was dispatched to the area of 744 W. Main St in Trappe for a large tree down across the roadway with live wires arching at 1706 hours.

Engine 77 arrived to find W. Main St completely blocked in both directions by the treee and wires.

Fire Police shut down W. Main St at several locations with the help of 54 Fire Police.

Trappe's Finest help build Memorial Playground in Trappe

MAY 20 - On Friday, May 16th, Trappe Fire Company assisted PECO and KaBOOM in the construction of the Michael J. Killian Memorial Playground in Water Works Park in Trappe. Water Works Park is located on 1st Avenue behind the shopping center. Ducky Day for Trappe's Finest

MAY 18 - Sunday 5/18 8:30 a.m. Giant Shopping Center Ridge Pike
Trappe's finest were requested by Upper Providence Police to assist with the rescue of 9 ducklings that had fallen into the storm sewer grate.

A frantic mother duck (see photos) anxiously awaited and took dive bomb flights at the crew as they worked to remove the grate and retrieve the wayward ducks.

2007 Firefighter of the Year - Paramedic Dan White

MAY 15 - We extend a heartfelt congratulation to our colleague and friend Dan White on receiving this years TFC Firefighter of the Year Award.

Dan was presented a handsome etched glass plaque during the May 12th Company meeting

White has served Trappe ambulance for a number of years as a Paramedic, and most recently as our Squad Chief and program director.
